I've been reflecting on the many and varied things I have seen over the last few months during the course of my work. I've had some glorious views as I travel around our wonderful countryside - particular memories are of the morning light over Whitby, and seeing the sunrise over the Wolds en route to Bridlington. I've seen all manner of steel structures, amazing forge work and stained glass. I've driven over the Southern Uplands to view an Anaerobic Digestion Plant in the middle of nowhere that's going to convert silage to electricity. In all of this I've met so many absolutely lovely and genuine people. Last week takes the biscuit though, 3 days in a place that makes pots and pipes and then a day at a plant where they are developing a prototype machine for disposing of fallen stock. There's never a dull moment!
