Much in the news again today about food, or rather horse. I wonder just what audit processes these companies have in place and how, if the audits are robust and process based, such noncompliance can happen. Of course the answer to that may be in the question - perhaps there are no audits, or perhaps the audits which are done are not robust or focussed on processes. It's a sad state of affairs and I for one am glad that I don't rely on processed food but there are many who do and the industry has a duty to deliver what it has said is in the packet. We havn't heard the end of this one - I reckon it's going to run and run. Perhaps there will be some decent audit processes put in as a result!
